Abandoned Animals
Animal shelters provide food, care,
shelter, and emergency vet services for abandoned and unwanted pets. I adopted my
kittens, Julian and Liebschien, who like to play with my rocks, from our local
animal shelter. Someone had discarded them along a road. The shelter staff saved
them. I give them a home. They are a great joy.
National Park
Foundation
The National Park Foundation is the
official charity of America's national parks. We try to visit as many of
the national parks as possible, many of which have amazing geologic resources. Some of the National Parks that I've visited include: Bryce Canyon, Crater Lake, Glacier, Glacier Bay, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Hot Springs, Klondike, Mount Rainier, North Cascades, Olympic, Redwood, Rocky Mountain, Saguaro, Yellowstone, & Zion.
Flight 93 National Memorial
Gator Girl Rocks is a Founding Sponsor of the
Flight 93 National Memorial. The Flight 93 National Memorial is located
near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at the crash site of United Airlines Flight 93,
which was hijacked and crashed by terrorists on September 11, 2001. Earlier that day, terrorists hijacked and
crashed three commercial airliners into the World Trade Center Towers in New
York City and the Pentagon in Virginia.
Flight 93 was taken over by terrorists and re-routed toward Washington
D.C. Under horrifying conditions, the Flight
93 passengers and crew collaborated to commence America’s counter-attack
against the terrorists.
Happy Hearts Fund
The Happy Hearts Fund is
a non-profit foundation dedicated to rebuilding schools and restoring hope and
opportunity in the lives of children after natural disasters. Happy Hearts Fund
works during the period after emergency response is complete, implementing
sustainable practices to ensure a lasting impact. All Happy Hearts Fund administrative expenses
are underwritten by its board, allowing 100% of all public donations to go
directly towards building a future for children affected by natural disasters.
Charity Water
Charity Water works to bring clean,
safe drinking water to other human beings. Gator Girl Rocks is proud to help.
Gator Girl Rocks Helping National Parks, Abandoned Animals, and Other People
I participate in arts & crafts shows (where child vendors are allowed) as well as on-line sales. I use all of the profits from my hard work to make contributions to the fine charitable organizations listed above.
